Ergonomics is the science of "designing the job to fit the worker, not forcing the worker to fit
the job." Ergonomics covers all aspects of a job, from the physical stresses it places on joints,
muscles, nerves, tendons, bones and the like, to environmental factors which can affect hearing,
vision, and general comfort and health. Our ergonomics training programs involves a hands-on
approach and are custom-matched to your work environment. To make sure that your staff develop
the practical knowledge to identify ergonomics challenges, find the right solutions, and gain
the support needed to implement them we offer easy-to-apply problem-solving methods and cost
justification data in our training.

Non-Smoking Awareness
Module No: HSEI/W-TECH/TM 003
Target Group: All Employee
Smoking causes heart problem & increase the coronary artery disease which can end up with painful
death due to lung cancer and other related ailments. Passive smoking is simply the breathing in
of environmental tobacco smoke, whether it is smoke from burning tobacco, or smoke which is
exhaled by smokers. Passive smoking can also aggravate conditions such as asthma and some allergies.
Non-smoking awareness training program includes protecting employees and the public from risks
associated with both active and passive smoking. Whether smoking is banned or not in premises
or work place, a policy must make it clear what the organization expects from employees.
A good policy will also cover issues like support for those who may wish to stop smoking.
A policy is recommended for those premises where smoking is still allowed.
Behavioral Based Safety for Corporate
Module No: HSEI/W-TECH/TM 004
Target Group: All Employee
Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) is "A process that creates a safety partnership between management and
employees that continually focuses people's attentions and actions on theirs, and others, daily
safety behavior." BBS in a broad term is used to describe everything from basic employee behavior
audits and feedback to a comprehensive safety management system designed to change a company’s
safety culture. To achieve changes in behavior, a change in policy, procedures and/or systems
most assuredly will also need some change. Our BBS program includes all the employees, from
the CEO to the front line workers including hourly, salary, union employees, contractors and
sub-contractors. Our BBS approach involves:
- Solid principles about engaging, motivating, assisting, reinforcing, and sustaining safe behaviors.
- A systematic approach, examining the motivation underlying behaviours, in order to increase safe
behaviour.
- An ongoing effort; not ‘once-off’ provisions, but a new way of working that the safety leader must
continually promote for sustainable, positive results.
- Considerable time to achieve; however, results can be observed immediately due to the nature of
measurement involved.
- Emphasis on increasing safe behaviors rather than focusing on length of time without injury. BBS
programs do not depend solely on ‘lagging indicators’ (after the fact), and instead shift the focus to ‘leading indicators’
